Stop Moping and Start Living

Stop Moping and Start Living

Have you ever felt like your life isn’t adding up to anything? All of your ideas have come to nothing and now as you look back at you life it’s just a series of failure after failure?

Well the truth is, no matter how many times you’ve failed in life, the key is that your

Ve just added to the number of attempts it takes before you have a major success.

All of the most amazing success stories have one thing in common. All of them were failures before they became overnight success stories.

Sochiro Honda, Harland Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken, didn’t manifest success until he was an abject failure.

Honda was rejected. JK Rowlands had script after script rejected before her big break with Harry Potter.

Henry Ford

Went bankrupt before starting the Ford Motor Company

Walt Disney

Faced bankruptcy with his first animation company, but went on to create Mickey Mouse and Disneyland

Steven Spielberg

His cinematic output has grossed more than $9 billion and brought him three Academy Awards, but the master of the blockbuster was rejected TWICE by the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. Aside from that, this director also struggled with dyslexia which made it harder for him to cope with school.

To date, he has won 11 Emmys, 3 Oscars, and 7 Golden Globes, and he’s one of the most successful directors of today’s time.

John Maxwell said it this way, “failure isn’t the issue, it’s how you react to failure that is important.” You need to fail falling forward. Falling forward is an overlooked part of any success journey.

Getting past feelings of self-doubt and unworthiness can be daunting. Many people are literally paralyzed after a failure. And a significant setback can mean months or years of regrouping.

The key is to regroup as quickly as possible. Not allowing long spans of time to occur after a major failure. Failures are a part of the process. It’s like when you were a toddler. Each time you attempted to walk you would fall down. That didn’t stop you from trying again and again.

Once you get it in your mindset that each failure isn’t a setback but a setup for your ultimate success, things start looking different. You begin to start taking more chances at things maybe you didn’t think you could ever accomplish. Who knows, this time you may just conquer that fear or attain that new height.

That’s the difference between those who accomplish great feats and succeed in life than those who spend their lives defeated and frustrated. Those who succeed deal with the attempt and forge forward.

So here’s a word of wisdom. Stop Moping and Start Living. Get up off the ground, dust yourself off physically and emotionally and get back in the game.
