Time to Get Fit

Face it, if you’re like most expect to make it big, you’re going to need all the strength and stamina you can get. And that means it’s time to get fit. So put down that can of sugar filled soda, push away from the table and decide today you’re going to start treating yourself like the pro athlete you are.

Studies have shown that the more physically fit you are, the more energy you’ll have during the day. In addition to the health benefits of exercise and eating right, you’ll discover that your mental acuity will rise. That’s right, all of those endorphins and chemical reactions add up to clearer thinking.

Here are some tricks to starting and staying on a regular physical fitness routine. If you follow these tips you’ll be well on your way to a health and fitness lifestyle.

Be Consistent

Choose a day and time that you can commit to regularly. Experiment on either early morning or evening but once you’ve settled on the one that suits your time schedule, lock it in.

Find a coach or Accountability Partner

This may be your most important team member. Most people need someone that will hold them accountable in the beginning. Find someone who will make sure you stick to a routine.

Start Off Small

It’s important that you start off small and build on a regular basis. Whether you are running, yoga or lifting weights it is mentally easier to start small and build, rather than try and do too much. It’s all about building momentum.

Reward yourself

Nothing makes you feel like doing something hard than by receiving a reward. Each day you workout journal your progress and then at the end of the week take yourself out for a special meal. You deserve it.

You are starting to build healthy lifestyle changes and you’ll find in a few weeks you’ll start feeling better physically, spiritually and mentally.
